One Item Or A Whole House, Gone Today, At The Price We Quoted
Furniture, appliances, basement, garage, whole estate, one call handles it.
Residential junk removal is our main job. Whether you have one bulky item to haul or an entire house to clear, the process is the same: flat quote before we start, careful load-out, sort on the truck for donation and recycling. No hourly billing games and no upcharges after we arrive.
What We Remove
Real Jobs. Real Results.
These are actual photos from Junk Nurse jobs in Aurora and the Fox Valley.
How It Works
Simple. Transparent. No surprises.
Walkthrough and flat quote
On-site or by photo. Firm price confirmed before any work starts, and no trip charge if you decline. Same-day and next-day slots most of the week.
Careful load-out
You point, we haul. Two-person carries for anything over 100 lbs, hand-trucks for wheeled items, disassembly on-site for anything that will not fit through the door.
Sort on the truck
Donation pile, scrap metal pile, e-waste pile, disposal pile. Reusables go to Salvation Army, Goodwill, Hesed House, or Furniture Bank of Illinois. On a typical load, 20 to 30 percent avoids the landfill.
Confirm and settle
Walk the cleared space with you to confirm the scope matches the quote, then flat payment. No add-ons after the fact.
What full-service residential junk removal actually means
Residential junk removal is our main job. It covers everything from a single bulky item you cannot get out of the house to a whole property clear-out after a family member has passed. The scope is different every time, the process is the same every time.
The four scopes we cover
A couch that will not fit through the door, a mattress the delivery crew would not take, a refrigerator sitting in the garage since you bought the new one. We handle single items the same way we handle full loads, flat quote, careful carry-out, sort or dispose.
One room going through a change. A guest bedroom becoming a nursery, a home office being reset, a dining room after a family gathering that also cleared out grandma's china cabinet. For basement and garage specifically, see the basement cleanout and garage cleanout pages.
A property that needs to be emptied top to bottom. Moving out, downsizing to a smaller home, prepping the house for sale, or clearing a rental after a tenant left it loaded. Usually one to two days, sometimes multi-truck, always flat-quoted before we start.
A property that needs to be cleared for probate, sale, or transfer after a family member passes. For out-of-state families we photograph anything valuable-looking, hold a keep pile, and coordinate with the realtor or attorney on timeline. Flat quote up front.
What residential junk removal actually costs
We price by volume, how much fits in the truck, not by the hour and not per item. Here is what the tiers cost across the Fox Valley.
Couch, mattress, refrigerator, one bulky item. Includes stairs and carry-out.
A few large items or a small room. Living room set, small basement clear, half a garage.
One large room fully cleared. Typical basement or two-car garage.
Multiple rooms or a big single space. Basement plus garage combined.
Furnished floor, three-car garage, or a compact whole-house.
Multi-truck, one or more days. Fully furnished property, estate clearing.
Volume (how much fits in the truck), weight (transfer stations charge by weight, heavy debris costs more), and access (long carries, narrow stairs, tight doorways). Flat quote given before we start. Includes labor, transportation, fuel, disposal fees, and taxes.
When homeowners call us
The most common reasons someone in the Fox Valley picks up the phone for residential junk removal:
Not everything makes the move. We haul what does not fit in the new place, before or after moving day.
Realtor and stager want the house cleared to specific rooms before photos, staging, and showings. We work to that timeline.
Contractor needs the space clear before demo, kitchen tear-out, floor replacement. We clear the room and haul the small demo debris after.
Family member has passed and the property needs to be cleared for probate or sale. Photos, keep pile, realtor coordination, flat quote.
Tenant moved out and left the place loaded. We clear it fast so you can turn the unit around.
The couch that will not fit through the door. The mattress the delivery crew would not take. The old fridge blocking the new one. Flat pickup fee.

Common Questions
How does pricing work?
Volume-based flat rate. We quote by how much fits in the truck, single item, quarter, half, three-quarter, full, or multi-truck for whole-house jobs. Includes labor, fuel, and disposal fees. No hourly billing, no per-item add-ons, no surprise charges.
How quickly can you come?
Same-day service is available most weekdays when you call in the morning. Next-day is almost always available. We tell you honestly when you call.
Do I need to be home?
For the walkthrough and the first 10 minutes, yes, so we agree on what stays and what goes. After that, most clients leave and come back to a cleared space. We text photos of anything we are unsure about.
What is the smallest job you take?
One bulky item. A couch that will not fit through the door, a mattress the delivery crew would not take, an appliance in the garage. Single-item pickup runs $95 to $200.
What is the largest job you handle?
Full whole-house cleanouts and estate clearings. Multi-truck, one to two days. Runs $1,400 to $4,000 or more depending on scope and volume.
Do you handle furniture and appliances separately?
Yes, and we have dedicated pages for depth: furniture removal and appliance removal. All of it can also be batched into a residential cleanout in one visit.
What if I have hazardous materials mixed in?
Paint, propane, oil, and other hazmat get flagged during the walkthrough and set aside. We point you to the right disposal channel for each. Free HHW facilities in Illinois take almost all of it.
Do you provide receipts or documentation?
Yes. Every job gets a paid receipt. For insurance, landlord turnover, or estate documentation, we can also send photo documentation of the cleared space.
