Junk Nurse dump trailer parked at a suburban home driveway during a winter cleanout job in Aurora IL area

Junk Removal in North Aurora, Done Right

North Aurora is a village of about 18,000 built around the Fox River just north of Aurora. The Old Town area near Schneider's Mill traces back to an 1834 mill site and still holds older frame housing with narrow drives. East of the river you'll find 1950s brick ranches on a tight grid. Woodland Lakes is townhouse-condo built 1988-2001 with limited driveway access. Tanner Trails on the west side is newer large-lot single-family (2003-2025, floor plans 2,160-4,370 sq ft). Lincoln Valley on the Fox is a 55+ community of ranches and duplexes on private streets. Silverleaf just started construction on 42 acres off Deerpath Road. We work all of it.

Eco-Conscious Disposal

Donate first, recycle second, landfill last, every load, every time.

The Honest Case for Hiring Us

Kane County has no active landfill (Settler's Hill closed) so all household waste goes to WM Aurora Transfer Station at 213 Mettel Rd. Groot serves North Aurora with a 2026-2031 contract. You get one bulk item per week free, but appliances run $45 in 2026 (rising to $53 by 2030), and electronics are appointment-only. The fall city-wide cleanup was eliminated starting June 2026. Once you count sticker fees, an appliance charge, an electronics appointment, and a truck rental for the mixed load, the DIY math stops working fast.

Our North Aurora Knowledge

We route donations to Hesed House in Aurora (659 S. River St., open M-F 9am to 5pm, acceptance limited so call ahead) and Habitat for Humanity Northern Fox Valley's ReStore in Elgin. Electronics go to the Kane County Recycling Center at 517 E. Fabyan Parkway in Geneva (M-F 8am-4pm). For hazardous materials, Kane residents use the Naperville HHW Facility at 156 Fort Hill Drive, weekends 9am-2pm. For street dumpsters we'd get a right-of-way permit through Community Development at (630) 897-1457. Nuisance-notice cases route through Code Enforcement Officer Marcy Harris at (331) 385-6174.

Frequently Asked Questions, North Aurora

Do you know Tanner Trails and Lincoln Valley requirements?

Yes. We carry $1M liability and bring a certificate of insurance to the address on request. Tanner Trails, Lincoln Valley on the Fox, and Randall Highlands typically expect proof of insurance on file. Silverleaf (currently under construction) is a good fit for contractor-debris removal too.

Groot lets me put out one bulk item a week for free. When should I call Junk Nurse?

If you have appliances (Groot bills $45 per unit in 2026, rising each year), electronics (appointment-only), or more than one bulk item at a time, one Junk Nurse call clears everything on one visit with no sticker math.

Can you handle Old Town homes with narrow drives?

Regularly. The Schneider's Mill area and the 1950s brick-ranch grid east of the river both have tight driveways and detached garages. Our crew knows how to load out through a narrow lane without damage.

Where do my TVs, monitors, and old computers go?

Kane County runs an electronics recycling site at 517 E. Fabyan Pkwy in Geneva, M-F 8am to 4pm. We route your e-waste there instead of the landfill (Illinois bans TVs and monitors from landfills). You can drop it yourself or we haul it out with the rest of the job.

Kane County no longer has a permanent HHW site. Where do paints and chemicals go?

The nearest permanent facility is the Naperville HHW site at 156 Fort Hill Drive (Sat and Sun, 9am-2pm, free to any IL resident). Kane County also offers one free at-home HHW pickup per household per year through Clean Harbors at (630) 208-3841 for small volumes.

Do you serve Silverleaf and other new construction?

Yes. Silverleaf broke ground in 2025 for 99 SF homes on 42 acres off Deerpath Road. Contractor debris, framing scraps, and post-construction cleanouts are standard jobs for us.
