Your Office Cleared On Deadline, At The Price We Quoted
Workstations, cubicles, IT hardware, file archives, phased around your team.
Office cleanouts happen on a specific date. A lease ends, a business relocates, a floor gets consolidated, and everything that cannot go to the new space has to disappear by that date or the business pays holdover rent. Junk Nurse works the calendar backwards from your deadline, phases the work around your team, and handles the systems-furniture disassembly, IT hardware, and file archives that make office jobs different from a straight residential haul.

Office cleanouts run on a specific kind of clock
A residential cleanout has a soft deadline. An office cleanout has a hard one. Lease exits, floor consolidations, and post-move clearings all come with a specific date the space has to be empty by, or the business pays holdover rent. Junk Nurse works the calendar backwards from that date, phases the work around your team, and handles the systems-furniture disassembly, IT hardware, and file archives that make office jobs different from a straight residential haul.
The four things that make an office cleanout different
Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, and similar cubicle systems were assembled panel by panel with specific hardware. They do not come out whole, and forcing them wrecks the panels, the connectors, and often the walls. We disassemble in place, stack the panels, and haul them systematically.
We haul the hardware after your IT or a licensed data destruction vendor wipes or shreds the drives. Illinois bans TVs, monitors, computers, printers, and copiers from landfills, so all of it goes to a licensed e-recycler. Manifests available on request.
Confidential documents need shredding before we haul them, we do not do shredding ourselves but we haul the shredded overflow. Boxed archive that has passed retention can go straight into the truck. We do not open boxes labeled "confidential" or "HR" without explicit sign-off.
Conference tables, chairs in good condition, and reception furniture that would go straight to disposal from another crew can be routed to Furniture Bank of Illinois or Salvation Army. If you want donation receipts for the tax deduction, we coordinate that up front.
What an office cleanout actually costs
Office pricing scales with square footage, workstation count, and access. Here is the range we quote across Fox Valley office jobs.
Single office, 2 to 5 workstations, private practice, or small professional suite. 1 to 3 hours.
10 to 30 workstations, conference rooms, breakroom, reception. 4 to 8 hours.
Entire floor of a multi-tenant building. 30+ workstations, IT closet, executive suites. 1 to 2 days.
Multi-floor cleanout or full building. Multi-truck, phased schedule, dedicated project coordination.
Evening, overnight, and weekend jobs carry a modest labor premium. Included in the flat quote. Almost all office cleanouts we do run at least partially off-hours.
When businesses call us for an office cleanout
Most office cleanout calls fall into one of five situations:
Space returned to original condition by move-out date. We work backwards from the deadline.
Post-move cleanup at the old space, or clearing what does not fit at the new one. Phased around IT and vendor schedules.
Clear the existing furniture and finishes before the GC starts demo. We coordinate with the buildout schedule.
Fewer people, fewer workstations, need to clear the surplus. Donation routing preferred where possible.
Tenant left the space loaded. Property manager needs it turned around fast for the next lease.
Medical, dental, legal, or professional practice winding down. Full clear of exam rooms, offices, waiting area, records.
Common Questions
What does an office cleanout cost in the Fox Valley?
Small offices (2 to 5 workstations) run $300 to $700, mid-size suites (10 to 30 workstations) run $700 to $1,800, a full floor of a multi-tenant building runs $1,800 to $4,500, and multi-floor or full-building clearing runs $4,500 to $15,000 or more. COI and standard off-hours access included.
Can you clear the office by our lease move-out date?
Yes. Give us the date and the scope, we work backwards and staff the job to hit it. For most standard office cleanouts in the Fox Valley we can meet 2 to 4 week timelines. Multi-floor jobs may need more lead time.
Do you provide a certificate of insurance?
Yes. $1M liability coverage. We issue COIs naming your property or management company as additional insured before arrival. Most commercial properties require this.
Can you work outside business hours?
Yes. Evening, overnight, and weekend scheduling is standard for office jobs. A modest off-hours surcharge applies, included in the flat quote.
What happens to office furniture you remove?
Furniture in usable condition (conference tables, chairs, credenzas) gets routed to Furniture Bank of Illinois or Salvation Army for donation. Donation receipts available for tax documentation. What cannot be donated goes to scrap metal recycling or the transfer station.
Do you handle IT hardware and servers?
We haul the hardware after your IT or a licensed data destruction vendor wipes or shreds the drives. Illinois bans TVs, monitors, computers, printers, and copiers from landfills, so we route it all to a licensed e-recycler. Manifests on request.
Do you disassemble cubicles and systems furniture?
Yes. Herman Miller, Steelcase, Haworth, and similar systems get disassembled in place, panel by panel, using the correct hardware. Forcing them out whole wrecks the panels and the walls. We do it right.
Can you handle a medical or dental practice closure?
Yes. Non-biohazard fixtures, furniture, records, and equipment are all standard for us. Biohazard, sharps, and regulated pharma go to a specialized vendor, we coordinate the timing so the rest of the cleanout is not delayed.
What about confidential documents and file archives?
Documents needing shredding should be shredded first, we haul the shredded overflow. Archive boxes past retention that are marked for disposal can go straight into the truck. We do not open boxes labeled confidential without explicit sign-off.
