Appliance Removal
Section 608 compliant. Refrigerants handled correctly.
Appliance removal isn't as simple as loading a washer on a truck. Federal Section 608 requires refrigerants to be properly recovered before a refrigerator or freezer can be disposed of, not optional, not a technicality, a federal requirement. Illinois also bans TVs and electronics from landfills entirely. Junk Nurse handles both compliantly. Most guys with a pickup truck don't.

Common Questions
Why does refrigerant handling matter?
Section 608 of the Clean Air Act requires refrigerants to be recovered before disposal. It's a federal requirement. Haulers who skip it are cutting a corner that has real environmental consequences, and legal ones.
Can you remove a gas stove?
We remove the stove, but we recommend having a licensed plumber disconnect the gas line first. We'll coordinate timing around that if needed.
What do you do with old appliances?
Metal components go to scrap recycling. Refrigerants are properly recovered. Working appliances in good condition may be routed to donation. We don't dump appliances.
