What you can and cannot put in the dumpster
Illinois has specific rules about what is banned from a roll-off container. Putting the wrong material in the box means the hauler will not take the load, or the transfer station will refuse it and you pay to have it sorted back out.

What can I put in the dumpster?
General cleanout debris, furniture, mattresses, construction and demo material (drywall, wood, tile, roofing shingles), and yard waste. Basically anything that is not on the banned list.
What can I NOT put in the dumpster?
Tires, lead-acid batteries, motor oil, gasoline, wet paint, solvents, propane, refrigerant appliances (fridges, freezers, AC units with refrigerant still in them), TVs, computer monitors, medical waste, railroad ties. Most are banned from Illinois landfills. Auto parts stores take motor oil and batteries for free.
Do I need a permit for a dumpster in my driveway?
No permit needed for a driveway placement in most Fox Valley municipalities. If it needs to sit on a public street, most towns require a permit from public works, we can help you figure out what your specific municipality requires.
Can you deliver same-day or next-day?
Most deliveries are scheduled within 24 hours. Same-day is possible depending on the day and time you call. Call before noon for the best chance of same-day delivery.
What is the weight limit?
Up to 2 tons is included in the flat rate for standard household or renovation debris. Loads heavier than the allowance (dirt, concrete, brick) pay the difference at transfer-station cost with no markup added by us.
